A Fresh Start: Empowering Communities Across the Jair Lynch Portfolio
January brought a wave of inspiration across the Jair Lynch portfolio as we kicked off the new year with a strong focus on unity, growth, and meaningful connections. Through a series of specialized 1-on-1 sessions and community events, we empowered our residents to pursue their personal goals and build stronger bonds. From academic support to digital literacy, take a look at the programs that energized our communities to start the year off right.
Homework Help Sessions at Carver Terrace
At Carver Terrace, we partnered with the Community Coordinator to launch Homework Help sessions every Monday and Wednesday from 3:45 PM to 6:30 PM. These sessions not only provide personalized academic support for student residents, but also create a welcoming and safe after-school environment with fun activities and snacks. The steady attendance speaks volumes about the value and impact of these sessions within the Carver Terrace community.

Digital Literacy Classes for Seniors at Barcroft Apartments
Seniors at Barcroft Apartments are gaining confidence and essential tech skills thanks to monthly hands-on digital literacy training led by our partners at Alliance for Aging. Each session equips residents with tools to navigate technology more independently—no laptop required, as devices are provided during class. These empowering sessions are helping to close the digital divide and foster lifelong learning.
Bridging the Digital Divide with DC Library Tech Help
Through our partnership with the local library, Entwine is hosting monthly digital inclusion workshops that provide residents with practical technology skills. Attendees learn how to open and manage email accounts, troubleshoot common device issues, and register for library classes tailored to their interests and needs. These sessions aim to ensure every resident can confidently access the digital tools and resources necessary to reach their personal and professional goals.
Exploring Nature with Wonder Wagon
At Berkdale, children and parents were invited to the Community Room for a cozy, indoor Nature Exploration session with Wonder Wagon. Designed to bring the outdoors in during the chilly winter months, the event featured expert-led, hands-on activities like nature crafts, microscopic observations, and birdwatching lessons—sparking curiosity and wonder in every young participant.

Looking Ahead
January set a hopeful and energizing tone for the year ahead. We’re grateful to our residents and community partners for making these impactful moments possible.
