Falling into Fun: October Community Building Highlights at Jair Lynch Properties
As the leaves changed colors and the air turned crisp, October brought with it a series of vibrant and engaging events across the portfolio of Jair Lynch residential communities. This month was all about building and celebrating our community spirit.
Barcroft Apartments Fall Fun Night
Barcroft Apartments hosted a delightful Fall Fun Night, celebrating the spirit of the season. The Gates Hudson team organized a variety of games, including Witch Hat Toss, Corn Hole, Connect the Dots, and Checkers, offering residents a chance to unwind and enjoy some friendly competition. Craft enthusiasts had the opportunity to create family maple trees and paint pumpkins, adding a personal touch to their autumn decor.
To satisfy sweet cravings, cider donuts, apple muffins, pumpkin bread, and hot apple cider were served – the perfect autumn treats. A total of 90 residents attended, and there was also a special treat for the kids.
Barcroft Apartments also hosted a fun trick-or-treat event for children. The Gates Hudson team transformed the Leasing Office into a haunted area and handed out candy bags to the young ones. They even decorated a golf cart with Halloween decor, driving through the property to bring smiles to the faces of 120 children. It was a fantastic and memorable evening for all involved.
Villas at Langley Trunk or Treat
At Villas at Langley, a Trunk or Treat event brought residents together for a delightful evening of goodies and ghouls. Residents creatively decorated two cars and filled them with goody bags containing items like pencils, Halloween bags, bracelets, stickers, and balloons. 80 residents attended this event, and kids enjoyed experiencing community spirit in action.
Carver Terrace Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration
In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, Carver Terrace residents came together for a special celebration featuring authentic Hispanic foods and music. The event was a wonderful opportunity for residents to enjoy delicious cuisine, dance to lively music, and connect with their neighbors. It highlighted the rich cultural diversity within the community and allowed everyone to appreciate and celebrate it together.
Why These Events Matter
We believe that having a sense of belonging and the support of a community is crucial to residents’ well-being. Our residents come from all over, fill their homes with family members of all ages, and each experience life in unique ways. We see events like these as opportunities to build a sense of community for those who haven’t yet felt it, strengthen that sense for those who have called these places home for a long time, and give residents a chance to connect.
As we look ahead to the coming months, we’ll continue to nurture the sense of community that makes Jair Lynch communities special places to call home. Stay tuned for updates on upcoming resident engagement initiatives.
