Seasons of Support: A Fall 2025 Recap of Resident Engagement Across Our Communities
From flu shots to Trunk or Treats, food distributions to financial workshops, our communities came alive with energy and intention throughout September and October. Across more than a dozen properties, residents of all ages participated in hundreds of activities designed to support daily needs, celebrate seasonal milestones, and deepen connection. Here’s a look back at how we showed up for our communities this fall.
Barcroft, PLDA, and Phoenix: Tech Access, Health Support, and Resident Voice

At Barcroft, digital access remained front and center with twice-weekly computer classes for seniors, a tech help desk, and an internet enrollment event. Residents also celebrated the grand opening of the community’s third Little Library, participated in Resident Voice forums, and wrapped up the season with a well-loved Trunk or Treat. At PLDA, daily meals and food box deliveries were paired with robust health programming—ranging from diabetic shoe fittings and cholesterol management to Medicare support and nutrition education. Residents also enjoyed social events like crochet sessions, birthday parties, and an Ethiopian/Eritrean coffee ceremony. Phoenix residents focused on financial empowerment through weekly nonprofit assistance clinics, while staying engaged via resident meetings and a Desk n’ Treat Halloween event that brought joy to families and kids alike.
Carver Terrace, Potomac Vista, and Villas at Langley: Meeting Everyday Needs with Heart
These communities prioritized consistency and accessibility this fall. At Carver Terrace, residents picked up fresh groceries, received cleaning supplies, and attended workshops on rental insurance and health coverage. The community also hosted a senior dinner, an outdoor movie night, and events for youth including Bingo and a trip to a Nationals baseball game. Potomac Vista combined renter education and credit seminars with celebrations like Hispanic Heritage movie night and its fourth annual Trunk or Treat, complete with decorated trunks and food trucks. Villas at Langley focused on food access and financial relief, offering weekly distributions and nonprofit referrals alongside monthly meetings and a Halloween Costume Contest. Residents also marked the end of summer with an ice cream social and stayed informed with community updates.
Berkdale, Fields at Cascade, and Bedford & Victoria: Community Events Rooted in Wellness and Joy
Berkdale led with a holistic approach—hosting Women’s Choice days, a support group for moms, breast cancer awareness programming, and a flu shot clinic. The seasonal highlight was Salsa in the Park, a nature- and culture-infused event that brought residents together through dance, sustainability education, and family activities. Nearby, Fields at Cascade offered a similar mix of practicality and celebration: food trucks delivered hot meals, while residents participated in aging seminars, movie nights, and Trunk or Treat festivities. At Bedford and Victoria, food access remained a core focus along with a strong push for financial support via nonprofit partners. Monthly meetings encouraged resident feedback and the community ended the season with a leasing office costume contest and trick-or-treat hub for neighborhood families.
Jamison, Entwine, Clarkston, and Woodside: Uplifting Everyday Moments
Jamison kept its programming steady with daily DC Central Kitchen meals, monthly resident meetings, and a well-received Coffee and Culture event for Hispanic Heritage Month. Halloween was marked by a festive treat station hosted with MPD. Meanwhile, Entwine hosted a vaccine clinic, community bingo, and a Halloween celebration. Clarkston welcomed residents with an Xfinity pop-up and a treat-filled Trunk or Treat, while Woodside closed the season with a well-attended fall festival that created positive engagement with youth and families.
Looking Ahead
As the air cools and the days shorten, the impact of fall’s programming carries forward—seen in new skills learned, stronger relationships built, and communities that feel just a little more connected. Whether it was a hot meal, a tech class, or a trunk full of candy, every activity contributed to our shared goal: building resilient, responsive, and inclusive places to call home.
