Berkdale Apartments, Herndon, VA
This month, Berkdale Apartments’ property management team partnered with HealthWorks NOVA to offer residents free COVID-19 and flu vaccinations along with multiple opportunities to win Visa gift cards.
Berkdale Apartments also hosted a Valentine’s Day celebration which included giveaways of four dozen roses and a variety of sweet treats including cupcakes, strawberries, chocolate-covered pretzels, and pastries. Nearly 50 residents stopped by the leasing office to partake in the festivities and mingle with the Berkdale property management team.
barcroft apartments, arlington, va
In celebration of Black History Month, Barcroft Apartments hosted a series of events that were not only educational but also entertaining. A series of three storytelling events were held throughout the month for elementary-aged and middle school-aged children during which black authors read stories that highlighted important historical figures and events. These events provided an opportunity for residents’ children to learn about black history in a fun and engaging way. After the readings, coloring pages and craft supplies were provided for the children to enjoy. All kids received prizes, and their coloring pages were posted on display in the Leasing Office. This event not only allowed the children to learn about black history but also gave them a chance to express their creativity.
The middle school storytelling event asked the students to draw their vision of unity after the stories were read. The students were challenged to come up with drawings that demonstrated the importance of unity in black history. An award was given to the winners of the best drawing, and all drawings were posted in the Leasing Office. This event encouraged the kids to think critically about the theme of unity and how it has played a role in black history. Over 116 residents attended these special events.
Woodside village, dekalb county, ga
This month, the property management team at Woodside Village hosted two informational resident safety events including a Police Community Outreach event on February 3rd and a Neighborhood Watch bi-monthly meeting on February 16th, to encourage residents to share their thoughts regarding community safety and security with the property management team, neighbors, and local law enforcement officers. Nearly 100 residents collectively attended these two events.
