A Taste of Spring: Jair Lynch’s April 2023 Resident Engagement Recap
05/01/2023
Welcome back to our monthly blog series highlighting the exciting resident engagement events taking place across our portfolio of communities. In April, we saw a jump in the number of events hosted by our property management partners, furthering our commitment to solidifying strong connections with our communities. From fun Easter-themed events to educational opportunities, residents were invited to eat, laugh, and enjoy the coming of spring with the rest of their communities. Recurring events such as food deliveries by the Capital Area Food Bank and house visits continued throughout the month, and our property management teams have gone above and beyond to facilitate access to social support services as well as health and wellness activities. Here is a look at the fun events across our properties in April. Let’s hop into it!
Egg-cellent Easter Events
This year, our property management partners organized a variety of family-friendly Easter events for their communities. The Woodside Village management team hosted an event featuring prizes, an egg hunt, and family-friendly activities. Entwine offered participants a chance to win gift cards, along with Easter eggs and candy. Barcroft Apartments organized an egg hunt with over 150 hidden eggs, accompanied by complimentary refreshments. At Potomac Vista, families were invited to join an Easter egg hunt throughout the leasing office, while Villas at Langley provided a fun-filled event including pizza, candy, goodie bags, games, and a piñata. Bedford and Victoria held a community Easter party with the Easter Bunny, games, egg hunts, prizes, and more. Similarly, Clarkston Station organized a party for their community in Atlanta. Additionally, Phoenix Apartments hosted a children’s Easter festival, featuring arts and crafts and a variety of treats. These events brought together kids and adults, offering an opportunity to engage, socialize, and enjoy the festivities.
Fields at Cascades, Sterling, VA
On April 14, Fields at Cascades hosted its 2nd Annual Pop into Spring event, which proved to be a highly anticipated occasion, with over 300 residents attending to enjoy complimentary popcorn. The annual Pop into Spring event was an even greater success in its second year, and Fields at Cascades is looking forward to continuing the tradition and the lasting memories it creates.
Plaza Towers, Washington DC
Plaza Towers Apartments organized a special Breakfast on the Go event on April 12. The Plaza Towers team distributed breakfast goodie bags to residents in the Plaza Towers Lobby and extended this special treat to residents of the Prospect at Hyattsville Crossing Metro Station. The complimentary breakfast was greatly appreciated by the residents, as many mentioned they often don’t have enough time to grab a meal in the mornings.
Entwine, Takoma, DC
Entwine also hosted an event on April 22 centered on heart health this month. Dr. Patricia Davidson, a cardiologist at MedStar Washington Hospital Center, was invited to deliver a lecture on the importance of maintaining a healthy heart. The presentation aimed to educate residents about heart health and promote overall wellness. The residents found the session to be highly informative and expressed their desire for similar events in the future. This event played a crucial role in raising awareness about heart health, empowering residents to make informed choices, and fostering a proactive approach toward their well-being.
On April 18, Entwine hosted a Utility Workshop in collaboration with Pepco and Washington Gas (“WashGas”), an experience the residents found to be incredibly educational. Representatives from Pepco and WashGas presented valuable information to the residents regarding the available programs and assistance available to them. The representatives also assisted several residents with program enrollment. The workshop served as a platform for residents to seek guidance and support regarding utility options and provided an opportunity for residents to better understand their utility options, access financial assistance programs, and receive personalized assistance for their specific needs.
Potomac Vista Apartments, Woodbridge, VA
On April 25, Potomac Vista Apartments organized a “Pizza with Management” event. The purpose of this event was to create a platform for residents to openly discuss any issues or concerns they had regarding the community. With piping hot pizza and a relaxed environment, residents had the opportunity to sit down with the management team and engage in meaningful conversations. The management team was able to address the questions and concerns brought up by the community and provide detailed updates, ensuring that residents’ voices were heard.
April was a fantastic month filled with successful resident engagement events from our dedicated property management teams.
