Summer of Service, Celebration & Support
May–August 2025 Resident Engagement Recap
Across 13 communities, this summer was one to remember. From field trips and festivals to back-to-school drives and daily food deliveries, the months of May through August were filled with events that uplifted, connected, and empowered residents of all ages. Our teams and partners hosted more than 200 engagement activities, each one rooted in the belief that strong communities are built through consistent care and meaningful moments.

Celebrating Families, Culture, and Community
We kicked off the season with a Cinco de Mayo celebration at Carver Terrace, followed by Mother’s Day teas, Father’s Day cookouts, and the joyful National Night Out event at Barcroft Apartments. Throughout the summer, communities gathered for BBQs, ice cream socials, and wellness fairs, transforming outdoor spaces into hubs of laughter, music, and connection.
Youth Voice and Summer Fun
Youth engagement was front and center. Carver Terrace ran a robust summer camp program, blending educational outings with leadership development and creativity, including a powerful short film and PSA produced by local youth. Across the portfolio, children enjoyed craft workshops, career coaching, and field trips to water parks, museums, and more. These programs didn’t just entertain, they empowered.
Support That Shows Up Daily
At PLDA, residents received daily meals, shuttle services, and one-on-one assistance with lease issues and digital access. Similar supports at Jamison, Entwine, and Phoenix ensured food security and access to services never paused. From wellness check-ins to eviction prevention support, our staff worked tirelessly to meet residents where they are.
Preparing for a Strong School Year
As summer turned to back-to-school season, nearly every community hosted school supply giveaways, resource fairs, or registration events. From Bedford and Victoria to Cascades Crossing, families received backpacks, books, and essentials that helped ease the financial burden and set students up for success.
Moments That Mattered
Sometimes the most meaningful events weren’t the biggest. “Breakfast on the Go” at Clarkston Station, crochet circles at PLDA, and resident-led forums at Barcroft Apartments provided space for everyday connection and shared purpose. Whether distributing a flyer or hosting a service day, each act helped foster trust and community resilience.
Looking Ahead
As we reflect on this summer, we are filled with gratitude for our residents who show up and participated with heart; for our partners, who extend our reach and ability to serve; and for our staff, whose dedication powers every program. Together, we made this summer not just busy but deeply impactful.
With fall around the corner, we carry this momentum forward, continuing to create spaces where everyone feels seen, supported, and empowered.
