Honoring Ruth Hoang: Excellence in Ownership, Development & Operations

Ruth has long been a driving force behind some of the region’s most transformative projects. Her leadership has shaped impactful developments that redefine neighborhoods and deliver meaningful community benefits. From helping secure successful entitlements at the Reservoir District to guiding complex mixed-use efforts like 899 Main Avenue and advancing the large-scale redevelopment of Barcroft Apartments in Arlington, Ruth’s imprint can be seen across the DMV’s evolving landscape.
Her work is characterized not only by technical expertise but by an unwavering commitment to community-centered development. In a challenging economic climate, Ruth continues to guide forward major projects like The Heritage at Old Town, working closely with the investment team as they navigate complex financing efforts that help expand access to housing, retail, and amenities throughout the region.
Ruth serves on the Urban Land Institute’s Women’s Leadership Initiative Steering Committee and is a dedicated mentor to women in real estate. In addition, she contributes her expertise to Habitat for Humanity and Bridges to Housing Stability, organizations focused on expanding housing access and equity.
Ruth’s recognition by Bisnow for her Excellence in Ownership, Development & Operations is a testament to the impact she has made and continues to make in shaping places that matter.
