Located in the Carver Langston neighborhood in Northeast D.C, Carver Terrace Apartments were acquired by Jair Lynch and Nuveen Real Estate with support from the Amazon Housing Equity Fund. Together with their collective support, Jair Lynch is preserving 312 affordable housing units for households earning up to 60% AMI, with intentions to extend to term of the rent restrictions another 30 years through a LIHTC re-syndication.
Jair Lynch has also partnered with the nonprofit organization, Housing Up, to help support the substantial renovation plans for the property and help to provide comprehensive support services for residents long-term. Capital improvements, such as new windows, HVAC upgrades, unit renovations, and amenities, the introduction of a new property management team, and attention to deferred maintenance will continue to improve the quality of the property and the overall resident experience.
