Property Information

Jair Lynch, as part of a joint venture with Alpha Corporation, acted as fee developer for the DC Department of Parks and Recreation to build this state-of-the-art recreation facility in Southwest Washington, D.C. The 16,500 square foot facility, completed in 2005, houses multi-purpose rooms, an indoor gymnasium, meeting space, and a pantry, among other public amenities. The students at nearby Amidon Elementary School participated in Jair Lynch’s Construction Site Visit Program and monitored the progress of the project throughout the school year. At the grand opening of King Greenleaf, the students spoke about their experiences and presented then-Ward 6 Councilmember Sharon Ambrose and former Mayor Anthony Williams with copies of their final project.
